FREQUENCY RESPONSE AND FILTERS

We do this lab to experiment with frequency responses of analog filters!
Filters help remove unwanted frequencies, they are used in radios, TV's, and telephones

FILTER TYPES:
high pass filter
low pass filter
band pass filter

This will be our circuit:
There will be an AC voltage input, a resistor, and a capacitor
We are to measure the voltage output

Below are important formulas:
Gain was calculated for a couple of the frequencies of interest:
NOTE: w=2(pi)f

Then we started the experiment in order to test these values to be true:

The generator was set to 5V and while we changed the frequency
NOTE: The actual Vin was less than 5V, our results showed 3.5V
This is because we are dealing with AC power and the multimeter will be reading rms

 CONCLUSION
After finding Vout we divided it with Vin in order to confirm our theoretical Gain values
